Keshi undecided over new faces for Calabar tie
Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, has admitted that he has not taken a final decision on whether to reshuffle his team with new players in the return leg of the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier playoff billed for Calabar, Cross River State. Keshi told SoccerStar on telephone in Abuja that despite the impressive result his team secured in Addis Ababa last weekend, it would be difficult for now to decide on the squad to prosecute the second leg now since the encounter is still almost a month away. Asked if the ticket is in our hands, Keshi did not hesitate in replying in affirmation: “My response is yes by the grace of God. You know that it is very important to every Nigeria. I want to use this opportunity to thank every Nigerian because I know all of them contributed in one way of the other in ensuring that we got to this extent. Even passing through the stress of coming to cheer us up show the level of love they have for the team. I want to also appeal to Nigerians to come out enmass to give us positive support on the final day. We will see how it goes. Will he reshuffle his team for the final game at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Keshi simply replied: I don’t know yet, I still have one month from Wednesday. We will wait for some time to take the final decision.” Admitting that he was satisfied with the Super Eagles outing in Ethiopia, Keshi said: “Sincerely speaking, I’m very satisfied with the game and everybody in my shoes should equally be satisfied especially the outcome of the final result
