Archbishop Fellowships With Prisoners

The Archbishop of Metropolitan See of Lagos, Archbishop Alfred Martins, yesterday, spent Boxing Day with the inmates and guards at the Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison, Lagos to share with them the message of love, peace and joy that comes with the yuletide. The Archbishop who held a mass service with inmates at the St. Stephen Catholic Church Kirikiri Maximum Prison, explained the essence of Christ's birth, which, he said, was to free mankind from the bondage of sin and to grant eternal salvation to all that believe in Him. In his message to the inmates, the cleric advised them to put their total trust in God and be law-abiding while serving their various jail terms. He added that the inmates should BE determined to live a new life, saying their attitude to life should be positive, reminding them that God did not abandon them in their various situations
